Mindfulness Day Retreat

A day from 10.00 - 16.00 spent in silence to deepen your practice and to support a compassionate connection with your self.  Ideally, you will spend the whole day in silence, but there are points throughout the day to break your silence if you wish to.  During the day, you will be guided through a variety of mindfulness meditations from the body scan, sitting meditation, walking meditation and mindful movement and also some meditations using the senses, such as sight, sound and touch.  Please note, some meditation experience is required for this retreat. 
The next day will be held on 04th July at The Fisherman's Chapel in Leigh-on-Sea (http://fishermenschapel.org.uk/) - you may wish to take your lunch break in Old Leigh! 

An example schedule:

09.30 Tea and coffee and settling in

10.00 Grounding meditation, introduction and an opportunity to answer questions and queries

10.15 Session 1: The body scan, standing mindful movement and readings

11.15 Break

11.30 Session 2: Sitting meditation, walking meditation and readings

12.30 Lunch

1.15  Session 3: Meditation on an object: sight and touch; lying down mindful movement and readings

2.15  Break

2.30  Session 4: Sitting/lying meditation on body and sound; meditation on music and readings

3.30  Gradual movement out of silence and back to gently speaking, in pairs

3.40  Whole group feedback

3.50  Last reading and grounding meditation

4.00  Close

£20.00 includes the instruction and refreshments (please bring a packed lunch; avoiding nuts)
